The black members of Koevoet WERE fighting their own war in their own country. Why is it that no writer ever seems to understand that black people could have opinions, sentiments and motivations that led them to see a greater wrong in the communist onslaught on their country than they did in the political system they, their fathers, their people, etc were all born under, namely Apartheid? Do these writers think all the hundreds of thousands of blacks who fought for South Africa in the seventies and eighties and for Rhodesia in the seventies were naive, gullible or stupid? They were not. They were incredibly brave and wise enough to look at the mess that was the rest of Africa after the white man was chased out by Communists and realise it was in their best interests to make a stand, be it in Angola with 31bn and 32bn, in SWA with Koevoet or in Rhodesia with the RAR. And they were man enough to do just that. I salute all of them. You don't need to look to closely to see they were right and they can all stand proud for the part they played.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1236967146746290317.post-14320207789910208742013-04-10T09:48:27.785-07:002013-04-10T09:48:27.785-07:00Salute the Brave !
