Johannesburg - Police have seized R2m worth of suspected stolen goods from a storage facility in Benoni, Johannesburg, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.

"Police seized clothing with Mr Price labels, electrical goods and food in tins... they impounded a truck and arrested two Burundi nationals aged 25 and 30," Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said.

The men, suspected to be members of a syndicate dealing in stolen goods, were caught on Monday afternoon while off-loading the items.

"Several small businesses where these goods are being sold will be raided and more people are expected to be arrested."

The men would appear before the Benoni Magistrate's Court on Wednesday facing charges of possession of suspected stolen property.
