A moment of comic relief at the expense of Julius Malema and Jacob Zuma has become no laughing matter for three members of the SAPS.

The trio - stationed in and around Cape Town - were suspended without pay, pending a disciplinary hearing, for passing on a digitally altered e-mail depicting the two ANC leaders as the police heroes of a skop, skiet en donner movie.
It features a teaser poster for the yet-to-be-made third chapter of Bad Boys - a high-octane comedy about two detectives. But the faces and names of actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were replaced with those of Zuma and Malema.
Zuma, carrying a shower head in his hand, is seen leading Malema away from an explosion.
Brigadier Novela Potelwa, a spokesman for Western Cape provincial police commissioner Lt-General Mzwandile Petros, said: ''The charge is improper conduct while on duty."
