It is interesting to see the media's reaction to the ANC intention and proposed control of the media. With screams of oppression and murder of the truth, the media claims the public watchdog will be silenced.Is the media the public watchdog when it remains silent on the Firearms Control Act? This Act is the tool of tyrants and aids the suffering of citizens ravaged by crime. Five hundred to 1 000 police members daily process at a snail’s pace and huge expense utterly useless gun control paperwork that will not put one criminal behind bars or remove one gun from criminal hands.Citizens are murdered while they sleep and robbed on every corner or on the roads. People live in prison fortresses to keep out criminals and spend a fortune on security and insurance. The public watchdog has no interest and remains silent to the suffering, invasion of security and rights of citizens.The media should realise it is a two way street.Neither the SAPS nor ANC government have offered any proof that the Firearms Control Act will reduce crime or increase public safety. All the studies in the USA that have examined laws and interventions for success have found not one verifiable success. Gun control is a complete and utter failure of such laws to deliver the false promise of gun control and tyrannical governments.The media has no such proof and governments claims that gun control is essential are based on tyranny and control not unlike their desire to control and silence the media.Morabaraba
