The government was looking at ways to ensure greater access to land for black people, including a possible ban on property ownership by foreigners, President Jacob Zuma said on Saturday.

“Land reform will now be based on the deracialisation of the rural economy,” Zuma told an ANC rally in Polokwane. “In order to have more land available for reform and restitution, the government is looking at three forms of land holding.”

These were state land, which can only be leasehold, limited freehold on private land and land leases for foreigners, although ownership would revert to South Africans, he said. – Bloomberg

Another Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) councillor was shot dead in Ntabamhlophe on Wednesday evening, the police said on Thursday.

“On Wednesday at around 6pm, councillor Duma Mcebisi, 32, was travelling in his vehicle in Ntabamhlophe Road in Imbabazane Municipality when he was attacked,” said Director Phindile Radebe.

Mcebisi was shot in his upper body and he died at the scene, she said. The police recovered R5 catridges and the Toyota Corolla believed to have been used by the gunmen.

“He (Mcebisi) was in possession of a pistol. It is believed he may have fired at the attackers to defend himself,” said Radebe.

Mcebisi was a ward councillor in Imbazane Municipality. The motive for the attack was not known.

“The political violence team is investigating. Motive is not known but we may not rule out the possibility of political violence.”

Chameleon propaganda........... Communist rhetoric.........!

Pastels

What are we made from?
What will we eventually be?
Are we all different?
Yes, you and me!

I thought we were similar?
A great Nation all in one?
All for one?
One for all!
Colour did not matter?
We all stood tall!

Now I see that I was semi-blind...
Yes partly pastel;
Yet, mostly colour blind!

There never was a Nation.
There will never be a rainbow.
We are all living in a haze.
The colours will never be clear!
