Suspect in 12 Mpuma rapes arrested

A man accused of raping 12 women appeared in the Balfour Magistrate's Court in Mpumalanga on Thursday, police said.
The case against the 35-year-old was postponed to November 10 for him to get legal representation, Lt-Col Leonard Hlathi said.
The man was arrested on Tuesday in Siyathemba township in Balfour.
Hlathi said he had allegedly raped the women, aged between 30 and 64, in the same township since 2008.
“He broke windows and sneaked into their houses during the night. Police linked him to the crimes through the DNA samples,” he said. - Sapa
