Axed Human Settlements Minister Tokyo Sexwale “respected” President Jacob Zuma’s decision, according to a report.
“I respect whatever decisions are made by the president,” said Sexwale, who was replaced by Connie September, The New Age newspaper reported on Wednesday.
“Whatever they are, we respect it.” Zuma axed three of his ministers in a Cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday.
Sexwale, embattled Communications Minister Dina Pule and Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Richard Baloyi lost their jobs.
Sexwale campaigned against Zuma’s re-election as African National Congress leader at the ruling party’s national elective conference in December.
