Johannesburg - Five men held up a Cash Crusaders shop in Florida and took money and cellphones on Monday, Johannesburg police said.

The five-man gang entered the shop and assaulted staff and the owner before taking cellphones and money, said Captain Lydia Dikolomela.

Police arrived while they were leaving the shop and arrested two of them, she said. They also recovered 30 cellphones and a 9mm pistol.

The other three jumped into a car and fled with more cellphones and money.

The get-away car was traced to a man in Roodepoort, but police did not find him when they went to his house.

Cash Crusaders is not very 'customer friendly' to say the least.

The outcome of this case could prove very interesting.
