The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal is appalled by the brutality shown by robbers who attacked a pension pay point in Lindelani.
“The ANC strongly condemns this ferocious incident and commends the police for their swift response that led to the arrest of one suspect,” the party said yesterday.
“We hope the police will continue searching for the suspects who are still at large.”
Police spokesman Captain Thulani Zwane said a group of men opened fire at a pension pay point in the Lindelani area of Durban’s KwaMashu township yesterday morning. A pensioner died at the scene, while two security guards died at a nearby clinic.
Three other people were injured. One of the armed robbers was arrested. The others fled in a car. Zwane said the robbers took the security guards’ guns. No pension money was stolen.
The ANC in the province urged the SA Social Security Agency to strengthen security at all pay points in the province.
“We send our condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives at the hands of these mindless killers.”

These tactics have not changed in the past 30 - 40 years.
How many SAP/SAPS members were ambushed and killed by these barbarians?
There is nothing sensational about the manners of these criminals.
Lot's of these crimes were/are committed to to enhance political parties and despots.
when one gets to the root of these crimes, only then will it become evident who is behind them!
NOW THE ANC REFERS TO THEM AS BASTARDLY?
Too many syndicated criminals get bail and never get convicted of these crimes.
