Police on Tuesday evening continued their search for a man known as "George Smith" in connection with the death of Teazers boss Lolly Jackson, Gauteng police said.

"The search is still continuing," said Colonel Eugene Opperman.

Jackson was shot dead in Edleen, Kempton Park, on Monday night at a house registered in the name of businessman Georgios Toumbis.

Ekurhuleni police spokesperson Sergeant Tsholofele Madumo said Jackson sustained 15 gunshot wounds.

The gunman reportedly escaped in Jackson's Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Opperman said that after the shooting, police received a call from a man who wanted to hand himself over, but he did not do it.

The same man had given the police the address of the Kempton Park house where Jackson had been shot dead.

"When the police got there, they found the body... The man had disappeared," said Opperman.

Madumo said on Tuesday evening that a man named "George Smith" was believed to be connected to both the stolen vehicle and the phone call made to the police.

She said Smith was believed to have a South African passport. - Sapa

What is the quality of our crime intelligence in the SAPF?

If the police knew so much about this fleeing fugitive, then they would have been able to trace his cellular phone/s, the Jeep Cherokee and the so called "George Smith!"

Why was he allowed to run around with so many passports, unless, he was a police informer?

Its amazing how they always say they knew the suspects and suspected that something like this would happen.

Are they trying to impress their bosses?

HAVE THEY CHECKED CCTV COVERAGE AT OLIVER TAMBO AND OTHER STRATEGIC POINTS YET?
