Man with Uzi nabbed on way to robbery

A man armed with an Uzi was arrested in Hillbrow allegedly on his way to commit a business robbery on Friday, Gauteng police said.The man was arrested in Hillbrow carrying an unlicensed Uzi submachine gun with 27 rounds of ammunition, said Warrant Officer Krivan Naidoo.He was one of 29 people arrested in the Hillbrow area from Thursday night until Friday morning.Those others arrested were for crimes ranging from counterfeiting, assault, possession of stolen property and theft, to robbery, kidnapping and rape.Police recovered laptop computers, computer monitors and cigarettes. - Sapa
